Never, Dave is going to be ready to go rain or shine. No amount of weather has ever stopped Dave from delivering awesome experiences even in Chicago winter, thunderstorms, and torrential rain. Dave will contact you to confirm your tour, for that reason, please make sure your booking includes a phone number or email address where Dave can contact you while you're traveling.
-
The movie and architecture tours are accessible. Dave is able to make tours accessible and has worked with hundreds of travelers in wheelchairs and scooters. With almost a decade of experience giving tours all around Chicago Dave knows where to find ramps, elevators, and accessible entrances to all kinds of attractions all over town.
Unfortunately, the boat tour is not accessible. Floating docks, makeshift staircases and small entrances on and off the boat make it too challenging for those with wheelchairs or other assistive devices.

We recommend you allow plenty of time to arrive early for your tour, especially when you are in a new destination where transport can take longer than expected. Because we want to ensure our other guests can still enjoy their tour, all our tours start on time. If you know you are going to be late, please contact David at the number on your tour voucher.
Unfortunately, if you are late and do not notify us, the tour will start without you and you will not be entitled to a refund.

Yes, Dave is happy to create custom itineraries, existing tours can be booked privately. If you’d like to request a specific time or itinerary, please email me at hello@chicagobydave.com and I will be happy to assist you.
-
You can cancel your tour with Dave up to 48 hours prior to the tour's start time, the private boat tour has a 72 hour cancellation time because that is the policy of the boat rental company.
Dave is a very busy person and holds space for your reservation, once you book he commits to you and doesn’t allow anyone else to reserve that space so any cancellations made after that window are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
